Why do people refuse to believe me when I tell them I've been alive since the 1200's?

In the bible people lived to 1000, snakes talked, 500 year old men build arks, the earth is flat, the sun orbits the earth, donkeys speak hebrew, the universe was created 4000 years ago and carnivorous fishes eat people and they live in the fish stomach.
