Can you spray a yard for ticks without killing every other bug in the yard?
I am having company on the ninth of July and I was out burning a fire in my outside fire pit this evening. I live on the east coast. While sitting around the fire we had eight ticks fall on us from up above and the chair next to me was crawling with them. I think they came from my Maple tree. There are deer all over the place too and they often use my yard as their sleeping corral. Would it do any good to spray the gr if they are coming from the tree? Or would I just end up killing other bugs. I don't really want to kill the other bugs in my yard as there are lots of beneficial bugs too. Plenty of dragon flies and ants and lace wings, bees and erflies and cicadas and lightening bugs. Anyway what can I do about the ticks specifically to keep them away? I don't mind the deer so much as the ticks. Any natural method that wouldn't involve pesticides? If I did spray is there a pesticide that just kills ticks and leaves all the other bugs alone?
