If you had a vasectomy can you tell me a little about it?

I have 2 kids. My husband and I are not sure if we are going to have any more because I had preeclampsia with both of them & both were born one month early. We're just not sure if it's worth the risk to mine or the baby's health. If you had one, was it very painful? I heard you can have it reversed. Is this true? Did you or would you have it reversed? We're not sure what to do.
