Doeas anybody have any theories on Lost??

Do you think the Others ar vigilantes trying to show wrong doers the errors of their ways? or are they Dead!!! and the island is actually limbo? Or is this a secret goverment owned/run iniative to act as a prison for the morally wrong doers bit baffled help!
