How do you salve your ego when it is wounded?

I embrace it and let it be a reminder to be humble. If I am not being prideful, it won't happen. God is usually the One who convicts me that I am falling into that trap. (Thank you Lord.) I have been humbled many times on R&S. I probably will be yet again.
