Ipakitine mixed with Renal and Applaws for my CRF cat?

Me again... so my cat still doesnt want to eat Renal Diet Food and i managed to get some good food, Applaws and Almo Nature, as in my country near UK we do not get Wellness or Evo. Am mixing some renal food together with Applaws or Almo together with a binder to help get down phosphorus... i am still a bit worried because even though lot of people say that renal food doesn`t really help and even though i know that there is nothing worst than a CRF cat not eating, my first vet got me the picture in mind that if she doesnt eat Renal food there is no hope at all for her to survive. The new vet, says she should eat even normal food cause cats live on proteins and you can`t really cut it all for them. My cat is in the early stage... am so confused.
